Fourteen days along Madagascar's east coast, where the riding alternates between rainforest tarmac, sandy coastal tracks and river crossings by pirogue. From Antananarivo the route runs through Antsirabe to the rainforest of Ranomafana National Park, then follows the Pangalanes Channel through Mananjary, Nosy Varika and Vatomandry to Toamasina, finishing with lemur encounters at Ankanin'ny Nofy and Andasibe. It is the greener, wetter face of Madagascar: twelve lemur species at Ranomafana alone, beach riding on the Indian Ocean, and villages that see very few travellers.
