Krk, Croatia
SOKOL is an all-inclusive guided motorcycle journey of 13 days and 12 nights: arrival on Krk, 10 riding days, one motorcycle-free day at Plitvice Lakes, and departure. The loop starts and finishes in the town of Krk and covers approximately 2,380 km through four countries: Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The route follows the Adriatic Highway beneath Velebit to Zadar, Trogir, the Makarska Riviera and Dubrovnik, with two nights in Dubrovnik and a short day to Mount Srđ, Cavtat and Konavle. It then crosses into Montenegro for the Bay of Kotor and Lake Skadar, rides Albania's SH20 Kelmendi Road, and continues through Plav, Komovi, the Tara Canyon, Durmitor's Sedlo Pass, Lake Piva and Ostrog Monastery. The return leg runs through Lovćen, Trebinje, Blagaj, Mostar, Sarajevo, Jajce and the Una valley to Plitvice Lakes, where the motorcycles stay parked for a full day, before the Vratnik Pass and the coast bring the group back to Krk. Daily distances run from about 100 km to about 330 km, with most riding days between 180 and 300 km. The roads are paved: fast coastal sections, mountain hairpins, narrow scenic roads and several border crossings. SOKOL is rated moderate, like all Moto Adventures Krk tours, and suits riders who are comfortable with full touring days, repeated bends and mountain gradients. Mountain sections may be adapted if rain, fog, road conditions or group safety call for it. The all-inclusive package covers 12 nights in hotels, boutique properties and local guesthouses (two nights each in Dubrovnik and at Plitvice Lakes), 12 breakfasts, one main meal on each of the 12 programme days, and welcome and farewell meals. The "from" price of €3,800 per person applies to a group of 10 guests. Prices are per person, sharing a double or twin room, and depend on the final group size: 2 riders: €6,500 per person 4 riders: €4,800 per person 6 riders: €4,300 per person 8 riders: €4,000 per person 10 riders: €3,800 per person Dates: available on request between May and September for private groups of 2 to 10 participants. Departure dates are agreed according to the group's preferences and accommodation availability, with no fixed departure weekday. Please send your preferred travel dates and expected number of participants when you enquire. Bookings should normally be confirmed at least 20 days before departure, subject to accommodation availability. If one of the planned hotels is unavailable, a property of a similar or higher standard is arranged. Riders join on their own motorcycles; motorcycle rental is not included in the tour price and can be requested separately. A valid passport or identity document, driving licence, motorcycle registration and cross-border insurance are needed. Plitvice Lakes admission is not included and must be reserved and bought online in advance. Transfer from Rijeka Airport is included by prior arrangement. The route, length and dates can also be tailored to your group: just ask when you get in touch. Moto Adventures Krk designs, organises and leads the motorcycle tours, while the licensed travel agency Da Riva, based in Opatija, handles travel package contracts, payments and invoicing.
