Highlander 2: Uyuni, Titicaca and the Death Road, 19 Days

The long version, and the one that strings together everything Bolivia is known for. It takes in the salt flats and the silver mines, then crosses to Lake Titicaca for island day trips before dropping the Death Road into the Yungas, where two consecutive days run on a hundred per cent dirt. Nineteen days gives the altitude time to stop mattering.

Nineteen days and 2,970 km across the whole of highland Bolivia: the Salar de Uyuni, Lake Titicaca and Copacabana, the Death Road down to Coroico and the mud roads of the Yungas. Thirty per cent dirt, topping out at 4,650 metres.
