Laos Motorcycle Adventure, 12 Days

Overview
This trip crosses the Friendship Bridge at Chiang Khong and spends a week in northern Laos, where roads are narrower and rougher than in Thailand. The route runs through hill villages to Luang Namtha and along the Nam Ou to Nong Khiaw, then to Luang Prabang for a rest day in the UNESCO-listed old town. From there tight mountain passes lead to Vang Vieng, a pass above 1,800 m to Sayaboury, and narrow jungle roads back into Thailand at Huai Kon. The last two days ride the hills from Pua to Phayao and through coffee country to Chiang Mai. Thaiger Motorbike Tours runs it only for groups of four or more experienced riders, on dates agreed with the group.
Twelve days and about 2,100 km from Chiang Mai into northern Laos: Luang Namtha, Nong Khiaw, Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng and Sayaboury, returning over the hills to Pua and Phayao. For experienced riders only, in groups of at least four, with dates by arrangement.
